YogaMatka is for women who want to move, heal, and reconnect with their bodies without pressure, performance, or comparison.
If you’ve ever felt unsure whether yoga was “for you,” overwhelmed by fast-paced classes, or disconnected from a body that’s changed over time — you’re in the right place.
Hi, I am Michele, the founder of Yoga Matka.
I’ve spent decades working with bodies — my own and others — through yoga, therapeutic bodywork, and lived experience as a runner. My work is shaped by curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for how our bodies change over time.
I believe movement should support your life, not drain it. My approach is intentional and anatomy-informed, guided by nervous system awareness rather than force or performance.
How I Work
I focus on strength, mobility, breath, and rest — adapting practices to real bodies and real lives.
Whether we’re working in a class or one-on-one, my goal is to help you feel more at home in your body, not pushed beyond it.

• 200-hour RYT Yoga Teacher
• 240-hour Kundalini Yoga Therapy Intensive
• Yin Yoga Certification
• Decades of experience in therapeutic bodywork
